Bio

Michael Hill, a native of Fort Dodge, Iowa, has been with the Georgetown University Athletic Department since 2004 and is currently the Director of Sport Performance working specifically with Men’s Basketball while overseeing the development of all 29 sports. In May 2017 Hill was recognized as a Master Strength and Conditioning Coach (MSCC) by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) which is the highest honor a Strength Coach can achieve. In 2014 the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) named Hill 1 of the top 4 Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches in the country. Hill’s certifications and memberships include the CSCCa-MSCC, NSCA-RSCC, National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), 24 Hour Fitness CPT, APEX, SAC Level 1, and CPR/AED from the American Red Cross. Hill most recently in 2018 became a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certification Board Member. He is also a board member for Body Mechanix Fitness Cooperative in San Francisco, CA., a Consultant for SiSu Systems in Washington, DC, a Consultant for Go Pro Workout in Nashua, NH, an advisor for Monkii Bars in Boulder, CO, and an Advisor for the Perch Fit in Cambridge, MA. He had previously worked in California as a Fitness Manager at 24 Fitness before moving to the Washington, D.C., area where he has also worked with Episcopal High School in Va., Potomac High School in Va., and The Catholic University of America in D.C. Hill has a bachelor's of arts in Health Promotions and a minor in Coaching from the University of Northern Iowa while also holding a master's degree in Sports Industry Management (SIM) from Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies. Hill resides in Arlington, VA with his wife Laura and daughter Helena.
